The BOTS app reviews: Martijn
One of the most important factors for BOTS by RevenYOU to grow and pursue its goals is having a strong community. A community of users, developers and colleagues. Today we give the floor to a user of the BOTS app: Martijn. One of the many users who talk about their BOTS app experiences.
Martijn
Martijn was one of the first users who enthusiastically replied during our search for users to interview. “I work as a Robotics Software Developer at a large insurance company, so the fact that you trade with bots immediately caught my attention.”
Martijn has some experience with crypto, but mainly on the buy and hold level. “I know that at the end of 2017, early 2018, there was a lot of money to be made if you sold your crypto in time. Unfortunately, I waited too long”. He finds trading in crypto very interesting and has gained some knowledge through YouTube.
Martijn & BOTS
It was on a Sunday morning in 2020 that Martijn first learned about BOTS. “It immediately interested me. Robots, automation and crypto: all in one.” And so, Martijn downloaded the beta version of the BOTS app. Today, he will tell us a little something about his BOTS app experiences.
The first impression was a good one: an accessible and user-friendly app. “Depositing money into a bot is very easy. You will have a bot running in no time. Quick and simple.”
Martijn already has experience with crypto, some theoretical knowledge of trading, and therefore perhaps an advantage over non-experienced users. Doesn’t that make the app easier for him to understand? Martijn immediately laughs at that statement: “No, not at all. I could easily explain how the BOTS app works to my neighbour so that he, without any experience, can use it to trade.”
But what could we improve? “BOTS could improve the graphs. I see a lot of confusion there. Not only for less experienced users but for the more experienced users as well. Still room for improvement there! I know these improvements are in the works, so I’m looking forward to the release with improvements made.”
Martijn currently has sixteen bots running in the BOTS app. His favourite bots are those from Boosting Alpha. “I immerse myself in such a bot. I map them based on the base coin, the crypto traded in, the strategy, the risk profile and, of course, the return. I can’t find all information in the BOTS app. I also learn a lot through Discord from bot builders who share information.”
It’s not surprising that Martijn’s favourite bots come from Boosting Alpha. “I think their presence on Discord adds value. In any case, I learn a lot from the entire community, but the presence of the bot creator also gives confidence in the bot and how it works. And that has a positive effect on my BOTS app experiences.”
But even though Martijn sees that the BOTS Discord support channel is well-staffed, he misses the BOTS presence in the other channels. “There are just a lot of questions, especially in these early stages, and answering all questions is essential for investor confidence.” For example, Martijn indicates that a specific bot had a much lower return than the crypto (1.2% compared to 15%) liquidity model. “A simple reply stating that it is being investigated makes all the difference for the users of the app.”
When we ask Martijn about his main points for improvement for the app and for BOTS itself, he indicates that he would like to see the graphs improved: “And it would also be great if you could interact with each other in a certain way. I have now made my own Excel, but such a functionality would be a real asset.” Martijn would also like to see a roadmap. This roadmap should make clear when which functionalities are expected to be implemented: “And I won’t make a fuss about falling behind on schedule for a day or two.” he laughs.
Obviously, we also want to know what he likes about the BOTS app. Martijn doesn’t have to think twice: “The BOTS app is just genius. It’s simple and user-friendly, which is new for this market.” He is also enthusiastic about the bots offer in the app: “Oh, and I think that the company itself is making good progress. I have a lot of confidence in RevenYOU and the collaboration with the bot builders; the ambitious growth plans appeal to me, so keep it up!”
The future of BOTS
RevenYOU’s ambitions towards growth excite Martijn. “The growth after the last episode of Business Class, in which you were invited, was so immense that the app just froze. Even though BOTS quickly resolved that issue, I wonder what will happen if other countries react this enthusiastically to the app. Will it affect the stability of the app negatively?.”
Apart from these growing pains and his constructive feedback, Martijn is very enthusiastic about the BOTS app and its future. “I am convinced that the BOTS app can be huge. Those growing pains are logical and explainable. I notice that you’re working hard to resolve the issues, and I predict a fantastic and special future for BOTS.”
