Becoming a bot creator: The KYC

Every bot creator has to complete three forms (New Bot Form, New Private/Corporate Bot Creators, KYC Private/Corporate) before their bot goes live.

New Bot Form: If bot creators want their trading strategy live on the BOTS platform, they have to fill out the new bots form. The data from this form will be uploaded to the app, and BOTS will use it to compare the bot's backtesting results against those that the bot achieves in BOTS' paper trading environment.

• The tearsheet: The tear sheet usually includes crucial basic information as well as a graph showing past performance. The New Bot Form (link above) contains the following question: "Please provide us with a copy of your current tearsheet."

The following forms require bot creators to input sensitive information such as their address, phone number, bank details, etc. Private bot creators fill in: New Private Bot Creators + KYC Private. Corporate bot creators fill in: Corporate Bot Creators + KYC Corporate.

BOTS is only giving these forms to bot creators whose bots perform well in the Sandbox period and will most likely be allowed to release their bots in the BOTS app.

To conclude, bot creators have to go through several steps before their bots are ready to be released on the BOTS app. If the bot performs well during the testing period, a bot creator must first complete several forms, such as the New Bot Form, which requires basic information about the bot as well as its performance in the Sandbox period. Then, the creator will be required to fill out additional forms with sensitive information such as their contact details and bank information. Only after all of these steps have been completed will the bot be allowed to go live on the BOTS app.
